American Studies
The Public Affairs Section promotes a better understanding of American life, institutions, economy, politics, and culture, by promoting American Studies abroad, facilitating study in the U.S., and promoting studies of American language and literature.
Educators in the broad field of American Studies, whether university professors, primary or secondary school teachers, or curriculum designers are welcome to address inquiries to PASGaborone@state.gov to speak with the Public Diplomacy section to discuss how we might help to enrich existing programs or develop new ones.
Students who plan to study in the United States should contact the Information Resource Center at the following number: (+267) 395 3982 ext 2428/2424. This office has reference materials in paper and electronic format to assist in identifying appropriate college and graduate programs and learning the entrance requirements.
